Well, in a nine-year life (Tourings left the building in ’04), the E39 sold 1,488,038 units, and the E60 had sold 1,369,817 examples over seven years by the time the last Tourings were built in
I sold my 2002tii before I left, so I needed a car. Lo and behold, I tripped across a white/black E30 M3 listed in the paper. I called and went to drive it with my dad, the guy who sparked my
The N54 3.0 liter I-6 twin-turbo engine powers the BMW 1M. Although 369 pound-feet of torque are briefly accessible in overboost mode, the turbocharger, exhaust system, and ECU have all been updated to deliver 335 horsepower and 332 pound-feet of torque for the 1M. Redline is at 7000 revs per minute.
1991 BMW E30 318iS. £12,500. The BMW E30 M3’s legendary status is only hampered by how out of reach it’s become over the years. The second-in-line BMW 325i is another enthusiasts’ favourite, and the values of that are steadily (and deservedly so) on the rise, too. I also have a 1973 2002Tii and on the 2002registry shows how many 2002's (different styles) were built. I wonder how many e30's owners are still active on this forum.. :loco:. Of course like the 2002's, there are different styles of e30's.
It wasn’t long before Alpina introduced a bigger-engined version of the E30 – the B6 2.8 – but of the 259-strong production run, just one car was produced with right-hand drive. It was built at Buchloe for Sytner, who decided instead to wait for the more affordable C2 2.5. Power came from the economy-minded smallblock ‘eta’ M60 engine
